attic Disinfection

2035__60520.jpg

When wildlife such as raccoons, squirrels, birds, bats or mice enter your attic, they first cause damage to your attic by moving and pressing down insulation which is designed to act as a thermal barrier to control the temperature in your home or business. This disturbance to the insulation in your attic will result in increased heating/cooling costs as the insulation is compromised and will no longer be efficient in controlling temperature. Further, replacing attic insulation can be as expensive as $5,000- $15,000 in a regular sized home in the Greater Toronto Area.

The second concern when wildlife is present in your attic is the feces they leave behind. This can soon become a health concern as most wildlife feces contain or carry bacteria, ticks, fleas, roundworms and parasites. Inhaling or coming into contact with wildlife feces can spread diseases to humans and pets. Thus, it is very important to consider disinfecting your attic when you have concerns that wildlife may be present in your attic.

Our trained technicians will start by conducting a thorough inspection of your attic to determine it's condition. They will then provide you with photos of the current conditions of your attic. This will include photos of any damage caused to insulation in your attic and photos of feces and any other material wildlife may have brought into your attic.

After wildlife feces have been completely removed from the attic, the technicians will spray a botanical disinfectant spray in order to kill any bacteria, viruses or fungi that are likely present in the impacted attic insulation.

Lastly, our technicians will provide with photos of their work and the final result.
